Fall Into a Few of Pittsburgh’s Festive Autumn Events

Autumn is here, which means that now is the perfect time to scope out the region’s fun fall festivals. And when it comes to all things fall, Pittsburgh is a great place to experience the excitement. Not only does our region see some of the most beautiful fall foliage, but we also have several awesome autumn events for anyone to enjoy.
If you start this weekend, you can enjoy several of these fun fall happenings around Pittsburgh before the season ends:

Confluence PumpkinFest
Just a short drive from Pittsburgh into southwestern Somerset County, Confluence opens up for fall visitors to enjoy a bit of fall foliage, arts, crafts and delicious food. PumpkinFest is held October 5–7 and it is a great way to usher in the fall season with a classic car show, parade and pumpkin contest.

Trax Farms
Located in Pittsburgh’s South Hills, Trax Farms is a fall favorite for many families. This historic farm is gearing up for fall fires, festivals, tours and hayrides. This stop is one you won’t want to miss in Pittsburgh this fall. The fall festival at Trax Farms lasts through the end of October.

Seven Springs
In addition to an incredible fall golf getaway, Seven Springs Mountain Resort offers guests the perfect weekend escape to an Autumnfest they won’t soon forget. From crafts and keepsakes to food and more, Seven Springs is a must-stop on your fall travel schedule. Autumnfest is held on the weekends beginning September 29 and running through October 21.

Gateway Clipper Fleet
Want to see fall in an entirely new way? The end of October signals the return of those creepy ghosts, goblins and just incredibly-good costumes, especially when you board the Gateway Clipper Fleet for BOB FM’s “Boo N Brew Halloween Dance Cruise.” This three-hours on the three rivers sets sail on Saturday, October 27. Don’t miss out on the frightening fun!

Pittsburgh Whiskey & Fine Spirits Festival
Another adult fall happening in Pittsburgh at the end of October is the Pittsburgh Whiskey & Fine Spirits Festival. The Rivers Casino is hosting this “Monster Bash” on October 26 and it is sure to be full of spooky spirits of all kinds! Parents, grab a sitter and enjoy a taste or two during this festive fall event!

Soergel Orchards
It just wouldn’t be fall in Pittsburgh without a trip to Soergel Orchards in Wexford. Family fun includes pumpkin and apple picking, tractor, wagon and hay rides, plus delicious BBQ! These must-do Fall Festival Weekends at Soergel Orchards begin September 22 and last through the end of October.

Delmont Apple ‘N Arts Festival
What is fall without homemade apple cider? During the first weekend in October, the Westmoreland County borough of Delmont invites families to enjoy live music, train and pony rides, delicious fresh apple cider and so much more. Get there early – the cider is in high demand!
